Naples is Hosting the Pickleball US Open

Naples, Florida has been chosen to host the FIRST EVER Pickleball US Open where more than 10,000 visitors and players are expecting to come in from around the world! The event will be held in East Naples Community Park ( 3500 Thomasson Drive Naples 34112), where the courts have been turned into a one-of-a-kind Pickleball experience, with 46 courts surrounding the eye-popping Zing Zang Championship Court.

With more than $25,000 in prizes on the line, the event will have local and national vendors and will be a lot of fun!

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is an extremely addictive game that is growing it’s number of followers daily.  The basics are this:

1. A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.
2. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.
3. Played with a paddle and a plastic ball.

New communities in Naples are including pickleball courts and older Country Clubs and community parks are also renovating their facilities to include this popular sport.
